The Evolution of Ma’at Collective

MA’AT (MAY-ET). NOUN.

The ancient Egyptian goddess and embodiment of the Egyptian Seven Principles of Truth, Balance, Order, Harmony, Righteousness, Morality and Justice.

Ma’at Collective was born from our passion in helping businesses thrive (ignited by one evening of Espresso Martinis!). Coming from a diverse background of experience, we wanted to create something that allowed us to share our excitement and passion for helping start-ups and businesses grow.

We love to talk, listen and support our clients (also known as our Collective Community) to spark ideas and help their goals become reality. With this in mind, we created an exclusive Collective that provides access to support from a group of talented experts, rather than just one individual.

Join our Collective Community today and let us help you with your side hustle or big ideas. We look forward to taking on the next big challenge together.

“I created Ma’at Collective to bring together like-minded people who share my passion for helping businesses and entrepreneurs, so that we could collectively harness opportunities to grow ideas, side hustles and businesses.

Due to our digital age making so much information and resources available online, I wanted to help people become more confident about the journey they are on with the help of a collective of experienced professionals who can ensure businesses are given the right support and assistance in the areas where it’s needed the most.

I am a huge believer in sharing information and empowering people and businesses to be self-sufficient. What differentiates us from other advisors is our unmatched passion for teaching and mentoring our clients - we love being part of the journey as we walk through it together with them!

Every client’s business is treated with as much care and respect as if it was my own. Your success is our success, and I can’t wait to partner with you to help you achieve your next big goal.”

Elizabeth "Izzy" Whitelock , Chief Entrepreneur

Elizabeth "Izzy" Whitelock was born in Scotland and grew up in a family that valued education and entrepreneurship.  Her dad was a serial entrepreneur (although not a term in use in his day!) who not only showed Izzy the ropes of running a business but gave them to her on a regular basis starting when she was 6 years of age.
A business woman and technology entrepreneur, she co-founded Houston We Have in 2010, a company focused on AI solutions initially for defence and national security and intelligence agencies before widening its application to health insurance, fintech, regtech and investment decisions by private equity.
In September 2016, the company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), one of the few female led companies to list on the ASX.
Under Izzy’s leadership, the company secured partnerships with global systems integrators and defence prime contractors; opened an office in the UK; acquired two software companies and successfully integrated their people, technology stack, processes and procedures, and their clients and partners.
Izzy is an active mentor to start-up and early stage companies in Australia, UK and NZ sharing the lessons learned to help founders avoid the pitfalls of the growth journey. She is engaged as an Entrepreneur in Residence for portfolio companies through venture capital and programs such as the USA Market Access Program, funded via the City of Logan.  She is also a proud GlobalScot bringing her experience, network and understanding of entering new markets for those Scottish companies seeking access to the ANZ market. As a board director of the Australian Information Industry Association, she is a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion in the technology industry. Chairing the committee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, she has developed the DEI policy for the association and aims to drive change in the industry for greater representation, opportunity and equity for all.
A passionate Scot, with a belief in truth, fairness and integrity.  A champion for the voiceless - which occasionally takes the shape of animals and their owners.
“Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching.” C.S. Lewis
